A hotel sets the mood for your stay. You want comfort, location, and just a dash of cool… and a good price helps! There are hundreds of hotels in Singapore to choose from so why not try something a little different on your next trip?
With unique designs, personal guest service, great locations, and one with a rainbow pool; maybe one of Singapore’s boutique hotels will set the mood for your next holiday.
Below you’ll find four of my favourite boutique hotels in Singapore.
Hotel Clover 33 Jalan Sultan
Located on the edge of Kampong Glam, Hotel Clover 33 Jalan Sultan offers stylish South-East Asian inspired boutique accommodation that is just a stone throw away from the downtown core and Chinatown.
With just 88 rooms, the onus is on individual customer service. I found that the staff remembered who I was and offered me assistance and ideas on what I should do each day.
I stayed in a Loft Room for a week late last year and loved it! While the bathroom is tiny, there is a small downstairs living room/study and the spacious upstairs area has a very comfortable bed that is made for lounging.
The dark wood and high airy ceilings has a moody charm, but if you prefer something a little more natural, the hotel also has rooms with a private garden.
The hotel offers free WiFi, a restaurant, small gym.
Located next to Kampong Glam you have access to plenty of middle eastern food stalls, restaurants, and late night hangouts.
The Bugis MRT is a 10-minute walk away.

mOOn 23 Hotel
Having recently finished a much-needed refurbishment, this trendy 80 room hotel located in Little India wants to make you feel at home.
Come enjoy a complimentary breakfast or evening drinks each day in the Lounge.
Like most hotels in Singapore, rooms are small but the platform beds are comfortable and frosted glass divider between room and bathroom does help rooms feel lighter and a little bit more spacious.
Rooms come with iPod/iPhone stereo, bar fridge, rainforest shower and in-room coffee facilities.
The location is one of the biggest selling points. Located just a few blocks away from the heart of Little India, mOOn Hotel is a 10 minute walk to three MRT stations – Little India Station, Bugis Station, and (soon to open) Jalan Besar Station, all on different lines.
mOOn 23 Hotel, 23 Dickson Rd, Singapore 209507
Located just a few doors down from mOOn 23 Hotel, Wanderlust Hotel is a well-known name when looking for a boutique hotel in Singapore.
A former schoolhouse turned hotel, each room offers a theme, from sleeping in a ‘Treehouse’ to ‘Bling’, ‘Typewriter’ or even ‘Space’!
Rooms include a Nespresso Essenza coffee machine, rainforest shower, and Kiehl’s bathroom amenities. Room rates include a semi buffet breakfast in the ground floor Cocotte restaurant and access to one of the coolest rainbow pools!
Wanderlust is a few more dollars a night but for the atmosphere (and added indulgences) I’d highly recommend it.

Is you want a little luxury but you’re travelling on a budget, I may have the perfect option for you. Introducing The POD, a boutique capsule hotel based on Japanese capsule hotels.
Minimalist in design each pod comes with comfortable furnishings, personal power socket, space to hang clothing and towels and a fold-down desk space. WiFi and bottled water is complimentary. Suitcases are stored in spacious lockers under the bunks.
Bathrooms are co-ed (even if you’re staying in the Female Only dorm) and kept well maintained by a cleaner. Hair dryers are available for use.
If you have work to do there are computer ‘booths’ with laptops available for guest use, as well as complimentary tea and coffee. A complimentary breakfast is served each morning, there are free washing & drying facilities on-site and one piece of dry cleaning (per night) is included in the cost of your Pod.
