I’ve been on the hunt for a stylish travel watch for two-years, I’ve tried a lot of watches but they all seem to have the same problems – the bands wearing out too quickly, the watch claiming it’s water resistant but stop working when I get a few drops on it while washing my hands, or the buttons breaking from over use when I travel.
I think my search is over. Not only has my ATOP Timezone watch avoided these problems it’s also, in my opinion, the perfect watch for frequent travellers who want a design that is easy to use, hard wearing and fuss free.
The Design
Scratch resistant glass covers the large, the VWA-series’ bright design and beautifully crafted design really showcases the 12-hour base screen that displays the time changes in selected cities in different time zones. Bright, colourful, easy to read – check!
Easy to hold, the large 12-hour base screen also makes it easy for you to grasp, turn, and set your watch to your city or just playing around and exploring the time around the world.
The band is made of rubber, ensuring that it is sweat proof, perfect for when you grace the more humid countries, but also making it easy to clean.
ATOP Timezone watches are not waterproof but I have found that it does live up to the splash test (wearing it while washing your hands). The rubber bands also seem quite resilient as I’ve worn it when working out and while a little sweaty, it’s durable and comfortable.
A note to some users though: ATOP’s watches don’t adjust to +0.5 cities, not a major problem but for some people it might be a little inconvenient if they live in those cities (I’m originally from Adelaide, South Australia which is a +0.5).
Why I think this is the perfect watch for travellers
One of my favourite features of the ATOP VWA watch is that I don’t need to fiddle with little buttons when changing time zones. Being so easy to change also means I use turn the dial when wanting to find out the local time zones of family and friends without needing to stress about pulling up, poking or breaking tiny dials on the side of the watch.
Click… I’ve got the time in London… Click click… Hello there Sydney!… Click click… New York, I love you.
Even after taking my ATOP timezone watch to 6 countries (UK, Germany, Istanbul, Australia, South Africa and Malaysia) and it’s still going strong in all conditions – German snow, riots of Istanbul, humidity of Malaysia and on Safari in South Africa – as well as my continual playing with the face or showing it off to fellow travellers.
The Atop Timezone VWA‘s come in a range of colours, and costing only £80 there’s no excuse not to pick up two to wear with different outfits (I’m personally looking at buying a VWS watch with a leather band).
I’ve found my perfect stylish travel watch and can’t wait to see where my next adventure takes my ATOP Timezone Watch and me.
Now it’s over to you:
