The Fullarton Bay Hotel
Located right on the waterfront of the iconic Marina Bay Singapore, The Fullarton Bay Hotel is one of the city’s most luxurious hotels.
By day the infinity pool boasts some of the best views of the Bay and city skyline, by night it is transformed into one of the cities hottest bars: Lantern. From here you will have the best views of the nightly laser shows that happen in front of Marina Bay Sands.
Fullerton Bay Hotel, 80 Collyer Quay, Singapore
Marina Bay Sands
The iconic Marina Bay Sands is one of the most recognisable buildings in Singapore. The hotel, comprised of three 55-storey towers and over 2,560 luxury rooms and suites, is considered one of the best luxury hotels in Singapore.
The crowning glory of these towns is the 200 metre Sands SkyPark rooftop. From here guests can bath in the 150 m infinity-edged pool – not for the faint-hearted! The pool is divided into three sections, one reserved exclusively for adults, to allow a relaxing experience for all who enter its waters.

Holiday Inn Orchard
Situated in the heart of Orchard Road, Singapore’s business and shopping district, the Holiday Inn Orchard City Centre is a cut above the normal Holiday Inn branded hotel.
The spacious rooms are anything but ordinary. They come fitted with plenty of mod-cons: DVD players, iPod docks, Handy phones with free data and calls.
But you’ll keep coming back to the rooftop deck. With two pools – one lap pool, one children’s pool – and a jacuzzi, you are spoilt for choice. There’s also a gym overlooking the pool deck.
One of the best hotels in Singapore with a pool and a little bit of luxury at a great price? Book me in!
PARKROYAL on Pickering
A clever play on Singapore’s nickname as the garden city, the PARKROYAL on Pickering brings a new meaning to a ‘hotel-in-a-garden’. There are 15,000 square-metres of lush gardens, waterfalls and planter terraces around the hotel creating a memorable experience for nature lovers.
It’s also one of the cities most eco-friendly properties: the hotel collects rainwater, uses solar power as much as possible, and uses light, motion and rain sensors to be as self-sustaining as possible.
This stylish boutique hotel affords city skyline views from its outdoor infinity pool, nestled among lush foliage. Oh, and there are the colourful cabanas that resemble birdcages along the pool edge!
Best of all, it’s a short taxi or walk to the main city sights like Clarke Quay, Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay.

Oasia Hotel Downtown
The striking red facade is hard to miss on Singapore’s Downtown skyline. Beyond the towering vertical garden growing up the fascade, Oasia Hotel Downtown has another mission: as a wellness hotel.
Yoga is conducted in the mornings in the open air garden (there’s a yoga mat in each guest room), you are encouraged to swim laps in the infinity pool, take advantage of the 24-hour gym, and the hotel hopes that you will check out feeling refuelled and refreshed.
You must check out the pools while you are staying at the Oasia Hotel Downtown. There are three pools to choose from. The stunning infinity pool is available only to guests who stay in club level rooms, and there are two pools on the rooftop which are open to all guests.
A stonethrow away from Singapore’s business district, I choose to stay here regularly because it is a two-minute walk to Maxwell Road, the home of Singapore’s Chinatown.
Hotel Jen Orchardgateway Singapore
Located within the heart of central Singapore and adjacent to shopping mall [email protected], Hotel Jen is bringing the fun back to boutique hotels in Singapore.
But we’re here to talk about the hotels 47-metre rooftop infinity pool. With spectacular city views, the sounds of hustle and bustle below are far away; it’s the perfect place to relax, drink in hand, after a day of sightseeing and shopping!
It’s hard to beat the luxury and views offered at properties like Marina Bay Sands and The Fullarton Hotel, but Hotel Jen – the sister hotel chain to Shangri-La – certainly offers a product that is competitive for those who want luxury without the hefty price tag!

Luxe Island Vibes
Walking down to the pool area the first time you could hear my jaw drop at just how stunning the space is.
A 33-metre pool is surrounded by water features, roaming peacocks and lily ponds. It’s the perfect place to spend all day relaxing – in the pool, inside a cabana, or at one of the restaurants on-site that overlooks the pool.
Rooms at the Sofitel Sentosa are palatial by Singapore standards. I stayed in a 36-square metre room tucked away in the corner of one of the low-level wings of the hotel. While the view was unremarkable, overlooking tropical woodlands and with only glimpses of the city skyline beyond, but it was incredibly comfortable.
While a little further removed from the city, if you want to relax this is the place to do it. There’s plenty to do at the hotel and on Sentosa Island (I recommend a visit to Universal Studios Singapore for all ages!).
Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort and Spa, 2 Bukit Manis Road, Sentosa Island
W Singapore Sentosa Cove
Overlooking the South China Sea, the W Singapore offers guests a break from the typical luxury hotel in Singapore with sophisticated edge.
Unlike the other massive resorts on Sentosa, W Singapore Sentosa has set its hotel, considered one of the best hotels in Singapore with pool, in a peaceful cove – you can even arrive at the hotel by yacht!
W Singapore Sentosa Cove has a 24-hour pool, the largest outdoor swimming pool in Singapore, complete with underwater speakers. On the first sunday of each month, W Singapore hosts an Endless Summer Pool Party for hotel guests and non-hotel guests. You’ll find lots of locals indulging in a Singapore stay-cation on these weekends!

Crowne Plaza Changi
If you are short on time but want to experience a little bit of luxury during your transit in Singapore then you need to consider Crowne Plaza Changi as your base during your stay.
Refresh on your journey by booking one of their rooms – available for both day use (minimum 4-hour usage) and for longer stays – and easily accessible from Changi Airport, Crowne Plaza Changi is a refreshing change to airport hotels.
With lush foliage throughout the property, spectacular runway view rooms and – my personal favourite – runway views from the pool deck. If you prefer not to enjoy one of the many restaurants on site or within the airport (Singaporeans visit the airport for shopping and dining the selection is so good!) you can easily take a taxi or bus into the city centre for an evening.
Make sure you request those runway views though. Room with a view sell out fast!

Village Hotel Changi
If you have a long layover in Singapore and want to keep the tropical holiday vibes going and the wallet happy, Village Hotel Changi needs to be on your radar.
Located around a 10-minute hotel shuttle or taxi ride away from Singapore Changi Airport, the hotel offers comfort to weary travellers.
Be sure to pack your bathers because the hotel boasts two pools. The first is on the ground level, tucked behind the buffet restaurant; perfect for splashing around in with the kids. You can even ‘see into the pool’ through the transparent glass sides.
The piece de resistance of the hotel has to be their rooftop infinity pool. With views over the treetops to Squance Bank and out to Palau Ubin (you can even take a trip to the island from the ferry terminal opposite the hotel for the freshest seafood around!), with your cocktail in hand, your relaxed holiday vibes will remain in tact until you reach your final destination.
